Cut Ice Cubes in Half Like Magic

Quicken the melting method of ice using the assist of just a little pressure. Cut a section of ice in half like magic while learning how the method pertains to ice skating. 

What you will need : 

1. One ice cube 
2. A section of fishing line having a weight (the heavier the much better) tied to each end 
3. A container 
4. Some type of tray to stay issues from obtaining wet 

Directions : 

1. Flip the container upside down and apply it to the tray. 
2. Put the ice cube on prime from the upside down container. 
3. Relaxation the fishing line during the ice cube to ensure that the weights are still remaining dangling during the aspect from the container. 
4. Watch it for about 5 minutes. 

What is happening? 

The pressure from the 2 weights pulls the string with the ice cube by melting the ice directly beneath the fishing line. This is just like ice skating in which the blades of the skater soften the ice directly beneath, allowing the skater to maneuver smoothly on a skinny layer of water.
